My Movement Story
Although I had always been active growing up, I discovered my love for movement when I attended my first Ballet class as a child. Looking back, I realize that what attracted me to dance, and Ballet specifically, was the clarity and structure of the technique, as well as the discipline it requires to train the body. I got to experience how acquiring a solid, technical foundation enabled me to express myself freely and creatively without being held back physically. Those same qualities also drew me to Pilates years later. The decision to become a certified Pilates Instructor marked the beginning of my career as a movement professional. Since then, I have continued to study and train in numerous dance and movement techniques, as well as fitness modalities. Simply put, I love learning and challenging myself mentally and physically. It allows me to discover new ways to move and teach, and most of all, it's fun! I believe that the more expansive my knowledge is, the better I can help and support my clients. In my sessions, I aim to challenge each individual in a supportive environment in order to give them a positive movement experience, regardless of their physical abilities and skill levels. Most importantly, I want my clients to gain confidence in expressing their physical potential, in order to excel at the type of movement practice, sports, and activities they most care about.
